Make no mistake, this isn't some TaeBo rip off class. An amazing heavy bag work out combined with body weight excercises that will quickly change the shape and composition of your body.
Different training tools such as balance domes, body balls, and medicine balls, keep this class exciting. Day after day and year after year you will look forward to your training sessions.
At the Defense Institute, all of our programs will get you in shape, but we offer a few that are specifically geared towards fitness.

Weight loss and muscle definition are simply the biproducts of training as an athlete.
At its core it is a Thai Boxing workout that utilizes heavy bags, focus mitts, body shields, and Thai pads to offer you a variety of different ways to get your workout on. Add to that the athleticism training that mixes calestetic, isometric, and plyometric exercises in with the Thai training and you got an explosive workout.
This class will leave you with a tremendous feeling of accomplishment and soaked from head to toe every time.
Originally used in Russia as a weight measurement for crops, Kettlebell training is now used by almost every accomplished athlete in the world today.
In a short period of time you can develop amazing core strength, balance, explosive power, muscle tone, and athletisism.
Traditional lifts such as the clean, clean and press, snatch, and the jerk are the foundation of all kettlebell routines. Core exersises like the windmill are added for stomach definition. Isolation movements and calestetics are mingled into the routines to keep your muscles guessing. Muscle confusion is key for developing the body you want.

Combo Class will allow you to achieve your maximum fitness level and provide you with some rudimentary self-defense skills against the most common types of street attacks.
This class is structured from three of our outstanding programs. In an hour long class, twice a week, you will recieve Kettlebell training, heavy bag work, and the basic elements of our Street Tactics Program.
A great class as a stand alone program or in conjunction with any of our other programs.
